PROM

Before prom, girls usually get their hair done, often in large groups and in most cases at a salon, but if you go to private school...the hair salon usually comes to you. The girls and their dates gather at various houses before the main event to take photos. Prom attendees may rent limo's to transport everyone to the prom. After prom, a school or friend group may host an after party to mainly discourage late night sexual activity or underage drinking.

Prom can be viewed as somewhat of a competition, especially in a boarding school environment.
